mine is actually a pretty funny story...
i was driving home from junkyarding (looking for tail lights for the 7) and i passed a shop that had a couple first gens in it's parking area. i'd been looking for one to do a 3sgte transplant into... but had been unlucky in finding a good donor car for a good price. well, i turned around to go ask if either was for sale (cause, hey, why not?) and after a bit of broken spanish conversation with the guy, found out that the one that was a 5sp had a blown motor, and he didn't want the car any more. he felt that a blown engine in a sportscar made the car worthless... told me it was mine for 100 bux. had 50 on me, came back a few days later for the title and to give him the other 50.
after a few months of searching for the right engine... had mine imported from japan... it's been the project since last aug when i bought the car. :)
i'll have to do a thread about it soon... it's all but done (as of right now... well... actually in a few min i should be going to get the battery + fluids for it) so the "it's finally finished" thread might come sooner than i thought!
as for you finding one... look on autotrader or ebay, or the classifieds section in your local paper.

I looked on Autotrader, Ebay, Xcars, Cars.com, everywhere for the perfect 2 for months.. wanted a 93+ Turbo w/ a black/tan leather interior, LSD wasnt a big deal...
Then one day a guy I knew from Team Integra (I used to drive a teg) told me a guy came into his shop looking for brakes for an MR2 Turbo, my friend checked it out and asked if the guy was lookin to tell it...
Turn out the guy wasnt but was considering putting it on autotrader to see what he could get for it, my friend told the guy about me, that night I talked to him, eventually he drove it up to my campus for me to check it out, weeks later I went with a $4500 dollar check for it....

I used to have an 86 non-turbo.I loved that little car.Well, untill I made 2 payments, and the engine went out.It was a great car,it's been so long, I think it had a 1.6 in it.My friend has been a mechanic for years. He loves Toyotas, but he hates the 1.6.
