2003 Silverado console

Have a base 2003 Silverado with center seat. Would like to remove the center backrest and replace with folding console. Anyone ever done this or have any ideas? Current backrest does not move.

Might try a salvage yard for an 'LS' seat. I don't know why GM won't put the folding armrest in all their trucks. It couldn't cost THAT much. I hate the seats in the cheaper trucks.

Here, I have a couple of guys that rebuild these trucks and from time to time they get seats that they are willing to sell. You may look for a rebuilder in your area, or there's always Ebay....
