For all you JDM haters out there...

You know, I'm getting tired of hearing people call JDM products rice. Alot of you haters always ask why anyone would spend 500 for a stock front end. But then some of you will turn around and spend 300 for some aftermarket bumper with big vents and mesh. In my eyes, JDM products are our kind of body kits. Its our thing. People ask why all us JDM people want to have the same looking car. But then go outside and look at your car, and think about how many people have your front bumber or side skirts or whatever else. Sure you can argue the fact that some diehard JDM guys will spend $50 for a cigarette lighter that lights up amber but then think this, would you want a car with skirts and a rear bumper and then have a front end that doesnt match? It's the little things that set our cars apart from others.

I think we should all understand eachother and not hate on eachothers cars for being JDM or USDM or whatever the fuck you want your car to be. If we should be calling anyones car rice, it should be the kid that just passed you with a APC muffler and a cone filter with neons under his car, and thinks he beat you in a race because he passed you when you werent even trying. Maybe its just the booze talking but I think I have a really good point here.

Others opinions are welcome, I'd like to hear what everyone else has to say.

Nope - In fact very few US cars make it to other countries - other than shitbox jeeps that can't handle extreme temps - and PT Cruisers.

Can't say I'd want anything USDM - except a '68 Corvette or a Plymouth Fury AKA Christine ;)

I have nothing agaisnt JDM parts, its just why bother. I mean spend 500 (US I would imagine) on a bumper that only looks slightly better. I would rather put that money towards a better engine. I think the big reason I am not crazy for JDM parts is the price for what you get. I mean I got no problem if people want to buy JDM parts thats cool, they do look good, I got nothing agaist them, and yes it looks better than crappy body kits. I don't think its rice, I just don't care......

spend $500 on a set of JDM headlights, or spend $150 on a set of altezza lights. both do nothing for performance and are for looks only.

91civicDXdude: why do you call it the most expensive form a rice? I do know it is expensive but I've seen body kits going for upwards to 2000 dollars, that are far more ricey than any ef conversion.

JDM is the "hardcore racer's" excuse for ricing out their car.

I think that the JDM jock-riding is just as gay as the lights and shit. Like, guys who say shit like "I want JDM look" or whatever.. Crap like that. Or, when someone asks about rims and someone just says something like "Get some JDM rims" or something along those line.

Personally I don't like anything thats ridden just for what it is. Not guys just buying whatever they think looks best, but most guys are just buying stuff because of what it is. Like when everyone was into big kits and shit, guys would rock ugly gay kits just to have kits. Now guys will make their cars have all these overpriced JDM interior peices, and stuff like that. Not because they think it looks nice, but for the sole purpose that its JDM.

Everyone needs to just chill on what parts they're using, and what parts everyone else is using and just build cars that they like, fuck everyone else.

what i think is funny is people will talk shit on some kid with a body kit and rims and lights and shit but stock engine, but then you see some "JDM y0" car that has the conversions, all the expensive interior, and a JDM valve cover as their performance mods, and everybody loves it.

It's that simple. JDM users hate being called rice... stop bitching about it and maybe people will be like well they don't care. If you just give them what they want and they know it pisses you off then you're being stupid. Also beat them in their own game. Beat their car in a race with a JDM engine instead of just buying cosmetics.

Nobody gains anything from you talkin shit. JDM parts win shows just like every other manufacturer does. So my whole thing to say about this is: stop your bitchin, stop you complaining, stop ragging on other people's cars, shut the fuck up.
