For the passengers side air bag first of all disconnect your battery. Next go inside and just pull the top of the dash off. Now take off the other part of the dash. It is held by like 10 screws. Next, take off 3 screws on bottom of the glove box and push on the sides to take out the box. If you look inside under there. there will be 2 nuts remove them both. Now disconnect the air bag connection. Pull up the air bag. and wala. finito.

Run into something hard and fast. LOL. I've never done it but read a 'how to' that I cant find now but sounds really close to Mikey's directions

The 95 air bags are different from the 96-99 neons.

There are specific items that are required replacement items when a deployment occurs or when an airbag light comes on...and there are some items that are "check only". Check out this website for the EXACT answers to your questions including fault code charts and reset information. This site tells you exactly what needs to be replaced and how to access them (seat belts & all) on over 3500 cars. It's a pay site ($14.95 / day), but it's little money well spent to get the correct answers and to see exactly what you're after...it uses pictures, not text, so you can see what you’re looking for.

Good Luck...it's not too bad of a job & if your state allows it, used parts or parts from ebay should be ok
The manufacturer does not recommend swapping between years. Get the correct airbag & do the job right

The 96-99 airbags all swap. So please stop giving out incorrect information.
