getting rid of the coil overs and going with lowering springs. What kind of springs do you guys suggest? And are the springs the only thing i need or is there some other stuff i need to get along with them?

i'd recommand you get adjustable dampers from TEIN... their super street version is very awsome!!.. everything plus installation at a shop (if you don't do the work yourself) will only run you $1000 or maybe less.

get a camber kit and proper alignment while you're at it

coil overs are height adjustable while springs arent.
the downside is cheap "coil overs" tend to be bouncy and give a crappy right

I doubt the ride quality of lowering springs, so my question would be: Why the switch?

If your dropping the car say about 1.5" you may or may not need a camber kit. Also there are ways to go around it like making some custom made thick washers to get it aligned properly.

Well I just put some Tein S-Tech's yesterday and got a 1.2 front and rear drop and the they feel quite nicely actually. Um not too harsh at all and I can go over bumps just about as fast as before and not hit anything.
