'90 s-10 window stuck down

Can anyone advise best way to fix window stuck down. 1990 chevy s-10 extended cab, drivers side window, not power. i assume i have to take the door panel apart, but i don't want to get half way through and be stuck.
any diagrams or images or instructions anyone knows of?

Check for the plastic clip that is in the glass.This clip holds it in the track.If it is broke the window can fall out of the track and be stuck down.

I am missing this clip and have this problem. Does anyone now where I get a replacment? I think that there may actually be two of them - one at the top toward the rear of the window and there is another hole at the bottom toward the fornt of the window - if there are two then I am missing both.

you can purchase these clips or guides at your local auto parts store.
they are usually found in the motormite or help! section. i have had this problem on every 82-93 s-10 truck i have ever owned. they are fairly easy to replace because the just snap on to the glass and then simply ride in the window channel. hope this helps.

Thanks got the clips at Kragen and I did the trick. There are two but it worked better with the lower front one removed.

I guess if you are only doing the top one you might not have to remove the door panel and glass from the track if you push the clip into the groove FIRST, then roll the window up so the hole lines up and then clip it.
