Ok as you may or may not know I just got a d16z6 motor for my crx. Now here is my question: Which of these two setups will make more power or which do you all recomend?

1) D16a6 Manifold and injectors, 88-91 SI dizzy and a PM6 ecu

2)D16z6 Manifold with injectors, 92-95 Dizzy and a P28 ecu

3)D16z6 with PM6 injectors, 88-91 dizzy and pm6 ecu

i would recommend #2. thats the way the z6 would come stock in a 92-95 civic which also means you need to convert to obd1. that way your using the correct fuel maps and other things designed for the engine and vtec is then also controlled by the ecu. with the other two you would need to wire up some type of switch (such as a MSD RPM activated switch) to activate vtec.

Probably number 2.

Numbers 1 and 3 would be kindof a waste since the only real difference between a d16a6 and z6 is the vtec, so if you're using the PM6 ECU, you'll need some sort of aftermarket VTEC controller or RPM activated switch.

probably number 2......but another option if you want to spend more money is used a Y8 manifold I hear it has a little better air flow, but since you already have the parts, I would go with 2.....have the vtec work the way its suppose to.

i used #3 when i had my civic with a z6 with a fields sfc vtec controller, but i would recomend #2 and only #3 if you get it dyno tuned..
