If 4WD there is a dust cover that can rub that is attached on the half shaft at the back of the bearing hub. Some have found that the tie rod squeeks at rack inside the boot. They have greases this by making a small hole with grease needle and sealing with silicone. It would not be unusual to need lower ball joints at this age but would expect you to notice other problems like tire wear. Is this a once per rev or what causes it?
