Clutch replacement - HELP!!!!!

I have just had my clutch replaced on my 1996 Z24. The clutch pedal doesn't seem as stiff as it used to or seem to have as much play in it.

For example, I push the pedal all the way to the floor to engage and shift into gear. I only need to release the clutch pedal about an inch off the floor before it starts to engage. I remember it having a lot more play before I had it replaced. Is this normal??

Also, I have been experiencing difficulty shifting into gears the last few days. Everything seems fine when the car is first started but after driving for about 15 minutes it becomes very difficult to shift gears. The shifter is very difficult to put into gear. It even got to a point where i could even put my car into gear when the clutch pedal was pressed!!!!

Could these issues be related to air in the hydraulic lines for the clutch? Or not enough hydraulic fluid in the line??

I am taking it back to have it looked at but want to be somewhat educated on the problem.

Plesae help.

was the master or slave cylinder replaced when the clutch was?...sounds like some air,....or the "throw" needs to be adjusted.

I had a similar problem when my fluid got too low and air got sucked into the line. I got lucky and just topped off the fluid and the air worked its way out in a couple days. You may have to bleed the system.

That Sounds like the Problem, Air in the Sys. You Might have a leaky component that is leaking in air and leaking out fluid, might just be a small one, and if you have a internal Slave Cylinder you wouldn't even notice, aside from the pedel feel.
