For all you 5th Gen owners...

I have a 97 Civic coupe DX.

No power windows, no moon roof, and automatic.

I am seriously considering getting a 5th Gen (maybe, 95) EX. With Power Windows, Moonroof, and manual. and it'll have VTEC.

So would it be worth it to dump my 6th gen DX for a 5th Gen EX? really liked the way those three Honda civics look in Fast and the Furious (cept for the wings)

My 6th gen has about 70 k miles on it. some pics in my sig.

Well, I love my car. My dad had a 97 LX and it sucked in comparison to my 95 EX. Mine's a coupe. (you seen my site right? It's got all the stats)

I will say though, that it is hard to find a 5th gen in good condition with under 100000 on it. I also suggest that if you can find one, to get the 2 yr warrenty. All together though, do not pay more than $7000 for it. You are getting screwed if you pay more!!!

I think also that the 5th gen EXs feel more like sportscars than the 6th gen DXs. Check the car's history also. Use CarFax, they are good.

And I believe alot of the mods you done to your car can be taken off and put onto the 95. So keep your rims, I/H/E, other similar parts, and replace the old ones (if you still have them). Not sure if all the parts will convert, but some should.

The 95's are more customizeable, sporty looking, and the power moonroof kicks ass!!

Not as comfortable though, I must admit.

If the 95 you find is in great condition, I would go with it.

I would prefer my 5th gen over a 6th gen every time you ask me. I just find it more sportive. And i like the looks more, but the question if you should sell your 6th for a 5th gen is a question you can only decide for yourself.
