problem car?

hey, all. i am kind of new here and am looking for a bit of advice on my 94 cavalier, and i hope you can help me. i know virtually nothing about cars, and the people i ask say they will help me, but they never do.

anyway, here is the problem:

the engine continuously taps, no matter if i get oil changes on time or not. i've been using the stuff called Restore for my oil with every change, but that doesn't seem to help much. periodically, when i stop, the car chugs, shudders, and dies on me. also, there is a LOT of blue smoke coming out of my exhaust pipe.

the tapping could be a sticky lifter and as fas as the blue smoke goes my guess would be a really bad valve seal especially if it doesn't burn oil all the time, check to see it you get any blue smoke when oyu start the engine after its been sitting a while. But ether wat it doesn't sound good.
