down pipe is on the exhaust side of the turbo... goes *down* and back to the cat!

so you can't see it from this picture then. is it directly down below the turbo?
EclipseRST

right... it will be right next to the dip stick, just look under the heat shield and you will see it!

well i dont know if that one is washable or not, the only way i know if they are or not is when ya buy it, if it says washable on the box it is, and if it doesnt the most likely it isnt! :icon16: being dirty can cause some loss in power, so id suggest replaceing it or finding out if it is washable and wash it if it is!

Jesus..
air filters FLOW AIR, so dirty will flow less air.
A washable air filter you take it out then use filter cleaner.

JoeWagon, should you use filter cleaner.
I have the same filter as he does and i just wash it with warm water and then let it dry. It works for me, it gets clean

that looks like an hks foam style, i believe you can wash it with warm water and a LITTLE soap [cuts grease]. i wonder if your dump tube is cut... seeing as you seem new to the 4g63, you should look into it ;) and the UICP's look like Dejon Tools.

Just some added info, it appears that you have the HRC UICP, both halves. As far as I Can tell anyway. They're 99 bucks each IIRC. Comes flanged for the type-s too, which makes sense. I ran those pipes with a 1g BOV modded to work on that flange into the low 12s.

ok.. you're gonna have to explain what you just said in ENGLISH!.. :screwy: :screwy: it's a little too much to handle for my fragile little NOOB mind. point to the picture if you can :eek7: :iceslolan

The black poweder coated pipes going from the side mount intercooler to the throttle body. The "upper" half goes to the throttle body from just after the BOV. I cant see the lower half, but I know its there because the BOV attaches to that ;) Most aftermarket UICPs stop at the BOV, and you use your stock rubber hose after that. Actually, you can see the lower half, just behind the filter.
