best way to convert a lancer into a sleeper

I've been wondering if the evo 8 and 2003 lancer oz rally share the same engine minus the dohc and if so would it be possible to swap the heads?:screwy:
My ultimate goal with my lancer is to produce an AWD sleeper that delivers 100hp to each wheel without it sounding like it's idle is 3000rpm when it's just sitting.:iceslolan
Or would it be possible/better to swap the engine out with one of the new mivec ralliart in line-4 2.4l engines, then sup that up?:rofl:

the evo 8 and the lancer oz do not share the same engine. the evo runs the trusty 4g63t and the oz runs a 4g94. as for whether the head from a 4g63t will fit on the 4g94, i highly doubt it but am not 100% sure.

in respect to the awd conversion for the oz, itis rather complicated and expensive. you have to remove the rear floorboard (and relocate the gas tank if i am not mistaken). my advice is that for what you are looking for out of your vehicle, you should pay up and go with the evo. to attain what you would be looking for, the money you would have to spend on the oz would more than make up for the difference in price between the oz and the evo.

yea it would probly be cheaper to make a evo look like an oz than try and make an oz into an evo

unless you have the money to do engine swaps go for it, but its not worth the money, your best bet is to supercharge it or turbocharge it... and no engine would fit in the lancer like a plug, its really costly

Forget about body kits and the evo hoods get some parts off RRM
then Supercharge it if the tires dont spin too much ull eat an EVO and some with 278-320 horsepower and a high torque rating that is unknown if u cant get it to grab then the evo wont touch u

if you really like it that way and turbod, mitsubishi also makes a 4g92 turbo engine, looks like the engine on evo456 but the oil filler cap is at the other opposite diagonal side plus it is weaker than the 4g63t engine but its a good start.

Just buy an Evo 8 and make it like exactly like a stock Lancer...maybe the people you race will be idiots and not notice the bigger rotors/turbo setup. :)
