HELP !!! Dang pedal tree/assembly .. ARGGG

I can't F'in believe this. I just cracked the pedal tree/assembly bracket that the clutch pedal is attached to. What the hell!!!!! Has this ever happened to any one else?!!! I was at a light in rush hour just letting go of the pedal, then all of a sudden *ping* the pedal went out of square. Just got it to my dad's house, because when the pedal went out of alignment, it threw the pedal free play out the window and was a bugger to get it into gear.
Sorry guys, needed to vent.
Anyways, I searched and the couple of threads I found all say that the dash needs to come out in order to remove the pedals. Any one with any experience removing them without removing the dash? Does anyone know how many bolts there are? I checked a helms and there doesn't seem to be a diagram anywhere.
Any help, greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

the assembly won't come out without removing the dash...you cannot get to all the bolts with the dash in place. I don't remember exactly, but there are a lot of bolts..I have an assembly at home out of the car...i can check..but there are like 6 or 8 bolts :(
The dash is actually not that hard to remove, it is just a little awkward.

At the top of your screen, click on "Gallery". This will allow you to upload images directly to AF's server, and then you can post them in your message.

I had the same thing happen to me right after I got my car, ended up shelling out $500 for repair, after that I vowed to do all my own repairs
