... is this even possible?

came across a cheap slightly used (less than 100 miles) EVO-8 motor for relatively cheap...

I know it's still the 4g63t (as seen in my 92tsi!) but I'm wondering if it's possible to drop that into my car?

I've got a bunch of people in my town that say they can do it... but I've also been told the front of the motor is on the passenger side, so I'd either have to mount the motor backwards or get a hood with the bump on the other side (I smell sarcasm!)

Just interested on some further information anyone can offer... since I've been told I can't mount up a 2G motor I'm a little skeptical and would like to learn before I start pulling motors.

i think i heard somewhere that the evo engines are usually drop in with a few mods for only 2g dsm's..... not sure but maybe that will help with your search for the answer!
