Curtosey lights

Problem just started happening 2 days ago.

1999 silverado new body style, the curtosey lights do not come on when you open the doors ( both of them.)

The lights will come on with the keyless entry and with the manual switch by the light switch on the dash.

I have checked all fuses under the hood and on the edge of the dash as well as the replay on the lower floorboard.

I am very electonically savy so let me know what every one thinks?

I was looking for a door switch but there is nothing visible ( like the plunger style of years past?)

Please if anyone has ran in to this let me know.

Thanks

Bapos

I have the same problem but, only with the passenger door. I will let you know if i find anything. Do you know how to change the light in the door?

I know this is a dumb question, but you dont have the dome override button pressed do you??

The switch is in the door lock mech.(the little claw in the door that holds the door shut) Whenever I'm washing my truck with the keys in it I push it in to shut up the chime.

OK will look in there tonight to see if I can find it. Is it just a matter of pulling that assembly apart and fixing the switch? or do you have to take all of the door panelling off? Guess I'll look later.
Cheers

You might have bumped the dome override switch. It's near the headlight switch, it's a little round button that says override near it. Press it with the door open and see if your lights come back on.
