I have a 1993 isuzu rodeo 4x4 with a transmission problem. The transmission is a 4L30-E automatic. The problem that is occuring is the check trans light will come on when slowing down or at a stop. The engine seems to shift in a very high gear seeing that it is very slow to get off the line (feels like third gear). This problem is not constant but is getting annoying. The problem goes away after shutting off the truck and restarting it. I am told it may be a force motor? If anybody has this problem or knows how to fix it please e-mail me.

this might help u guys. Try cleaning the battery
ground on the altenator bracket. from what ive gathered this is a common problem with with the
rodeo's. If the ground is losing connection everything is trying run off the altenator that probly
doesnt carry enough amperage to do so.
good luck

Since this problem started i had a mechanic take a look at it and he says that it is a sensor inside the transmission that is known for going bad, i havent had it fixed yet because ive had no troubles with the transmission since the winter, (could of just been the cold). i will try any and all suggestions that you have posted, thanks
