Minivan bottoming out

I have a 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 180K miles. I recently replaced the struts but the vehicle still bottoms on minor bumps. Any experience out there as to whether the coil springs need replacement or is it more likely the struct mounts are worn out?

You need new springs for sure.

when you say bottoming out, are you just talking about the clunk in the front end when you go over a bump?
If that's what it is, then check your sway bar bushings and mounting points. They all make these noises.

thanks for the input...It definitely was the springs. The OEM design was far to wimpy. I replaced with the recommended replacement springs, which were beefier. Also replace the strut mounts while I was at it. Works great. I knew it wasn't the struts as those had been replace 18 months ago and they are still okay.
