celica or integra?

My friend thinks his 1991 celica gt can beat my 1992 integra gs. I dont think he can cuz ive researched and my car has better hp and i think is lighter. We r both pretty good drivers to. They r both stock at the moment. Is there any chance he could beat me?

i dont know much about the celicas but i think it would be a close race, post the facts about each car for us. and with any race, its all driver.

integra:
140 hp
126 torque
2643 lbs -weight of car

celica:
130 hp
140 torque
2,696 lbs-weight of car

sounds like it would be a pretty close race! i think it will depend on how long your racing. he'll probably have you tell about 50

yea he has you on the torque part so he will beat you off the line, but you should be able to catch up and beat him

If it is a GT-s AWD, it has about 200 more ibs w/ 200 fly hp. If its a turbocharged one, he will kill you, but if not, he will have you till about 50-60 mph

the only way for sure is to race, why speculate? it won't get you closer to an answer because both cars are closely similar.

Its gonna happend this weekend but i got him to lengthin the race a lil so that i can catch him and beat him hopefully.

celic will beat you man! cilica is a 2.2l with 145hp but your integra is like 130hp!

ur wrong i posted the stats up top i dont know where u got those hp numbers but they are not right for that year and type.

oh and ill post results of race saturday night hopefull about my victory

i won the race and i even had him from the start. i dont know if i he did something wrong but he was never ahead of me.
