COME ON BOYS WHATS THE SECRET............

i'm taking my car up a drag strip (santa pod) for the first time next month and i need some tips on how to get the best launch from my t\t gto.

ive tried launching at 3000rpm's and seem to get bogged down, any ideas???????????

do you feather the clutch or just dump it???

if you are bogging, chances are that you are not applying more gas when you dump the clutch. When you release the clutch, your rpms drop, if you don't give it more gas at the exact same time, you will bog. It takes practice. and you should do that before the track, because there you have the lights and your reaction time to worry about.

how safe is it on a stock clutch can it take the hammering????

won't hold for too long u have to get a twin disk or triple disk to be able to launch the shit out of it whenever you want to

Yeah man, if you plan on having the car for a while, racing it every now and then (or all the time), and giving it hell on the streets or wherever when you wanna have fun, then you really should invest on a double or triple plated clutch (which ever you prefer).

What is the difference between the double and the triple clutch performance wise? And is the cost difference worth the advantage or not, what is that cost difference?

well either will do the rps carbon-carbon twin disk is just as good as say a triple disk organic clutch

Yeah, like they said, the stock clutch isn't too good at taking a beating. A few hard launches wont do it in, but if you plan on racing it, or upgrading past the 400hp mark definantly upgrade the clutch.
