Q? about type r engine

i just swap a 97jdm type r into my 95 gsr. the type r engine dont pull as hard is that because im running it with the gsr ecu.

Correct. The GSR use's a Intake Air Bypass system in the intake manifold, and engages vtec at different RPMS, so it has a different fuel map, get the ITR ECU, or a P28 chipped to run an ITR, you'll see a world of difference.
