My brother has a 96' Eclipse in which i will be driving around for awhile while he is away. People at my school continuely ask me if it is All-wheel or GST. Whats the difference and how would i find out which? Thanks

Hmmm..i read the post but doesnt answer my question much. Is there anything i can look for interior/exterior/under the hood to find out which it is? I'll probably take some pictures and post them soon. It's winter here though :x

If its a GSX is AWD. If it doesnt have a badge on it, you have no choice but to look under the rear of the car for the rear differential. There may also be an orange sticker on th door jamb stating that the car has a viscous rear diff, if it has one (not all AWDs do). If its a GST, its FWD turbo. RS or GS is niether AWD, nor turbo. The motor will be on the left side, while the turbo cars have it on the right. Hope that helps.

or you can do it the easy way
put the cluth all the way in, rev it up to about 5k, and drop the clutch
if tires screech and take a minute to catch ground, its a gst
if you launch forward as uf u were hit from behind by a car, its a gsx (awd)
come on peeps thats the easy and fun way :smokin:

Well shit, if you told us it was a spyder from the beginning we could have told you it was a gst because there are no gsx spyders.
