My speedometer isnt working. I check the speedo cable and it seems to be in the trans correctly. I pulled the carpet back to see what code was flashing and its a code 17, which according to www.4thgenerationcivic.com, is the vehicle speed sensor. Would a broken speedo cable cause this? Thanks guys.

yeah mine broke on me as well, going like 80 mph, just go to the dealer and get another one, took like 30 minutes to fix.

I feel you man, everything was working before my swap, but then I had to change my brake master cylinder, vss sensor, tie rods, main relay (twice), ignitor(twice), thermostat sensor, bleed my radiator, ignition coil (three times), starter (three times), spark plugs, and rotor. And I've only had the swap completed in january.

don't even count the money spend trying to get the a/c to start working again only to find out the plug were not reconnected after the swap, alot of the stuff was under warranty so, no money came out of my pocket for the second or third time.

Does the hazzard fuse have anything to do with the speedo?

No it doesn't. But to reset the ecu just pull it out like 30 seconds
