98 corolla battery light problem

the battery light came on yesterday and i jiggled the battery around a bit and it went off. today it is back on and i can't get it to go away by jiggling the battery. what should i do?

sounds like the alternator is starting to go.

i agree, if the battery light is coming on , not charging properly, replace the alternator,
also battery would be a good idea if it is original
