So...Did anyone see the newest Supra? cause I saw one on a magazine and I remember thinking to myself...hmm how ugly can a car get...Although I must admit that that's only a one's opinion. I want to see the new Supra and make another judgement...if anone got the information on the newest Supra please please post it up.

u rnt the only 1 dat h8s the new supra, i h8 everything about the looks of the car. it looks kinda like the new 2000 model celica, which i h8 so much aswell. i dont get it!!, i mean, in 1993, toyota comes out with a supra that looks so cool, and now they make 1 that is completely ugly, of course it MIGHT look good if it had sum major bodywork dun to it, but really, i h8 it so much, i would never even consider buying one of them!!!

Hmmm....It doesn't matter how many times I have to look at it and read about it...I just can't post a good comment about the new Supra. Now...I'm holding myself from cursing the idiots at the Toyota aero dynamics designers and engineers...and trying to be nice. So here goes. Itz just not what I expected. This new age of Hondaz (civic Si), Acuraz, and Toyotaz...Itz like the import car we know of is facing itz extinction. Like the old AMerican mussle cars. I don't like it...I don't like it at all....

Ugh, I must say that that is one ugly car... And that I fear Tuner could be right about the end of the import era. The cars are starting to look more weird every day... But on the contrary, with some body work and a paint job, the first pic might look pretty good. But the last two italian wannabe designs add up to one thing: toyota concept dept.=:bandit:

I agree. I don't know what is going on with the latest japanese cars designs but besides only some cool cars (S2000) most of them are simply ugly. Where is the lightness of the japanese cars from the late eightees and early ninetees? Take a look at the new designs from european manufactures! Even the crappy Fiat came with really cool catchback Stilo.
I used to drive Hondas like 85 Prelude (mom's car), 89 CRX, 91 Accord F1, 94 Accord Coupe... I loved those cars for it's sporty image. Now Honda makes FAMILY cars. Japanese BMW became Japanese VW :(

The rx-8 sucks. That thing is such a rice burner. That thing puts out 250hp.wtf is mazda smoking.0-60 in 6.0 seconds god that sucks. The new 350 Z that thing does 0-60 in 6.0 secs.. Man nissan and mazda are slowing down the power.The real cars are the old supra and rx-7.The rx-7 did 0-60 in 4.9. Supra4.9. I doubt that the supra will slow down. Those two are what i call greatness.Ya know why the new 2 rice burners suck. Cuz they are both under 30k. The supra was 38k The price probably won't increase too much. The only car that's competitive with those 2 rice burners is the CL-type s me being a driver of one.Despite the fact that it isn't a manual tranny till' this fall. It is a Ford GT90, someone just mirrored the image and did a shitty job changing the emblems.

The 1994 Celica was their best year, i see the 95 for sale alot, but i'd rather get the 94, the rear lights are FUBAR.

I like the stylin on the Matrix...and suprisingly even the Corolla looks nice.

Unfortunalty the 2 cars that should AUTOMATICALLY get the best stylin, the Celica & Supra doesnt.

I dont care if you rag on the new Z, but watch what you say about the RX-8. The RX-8 Sucks? It's such a rice burner?! ONLY 250 HP?! WTF are you on? You obviously know nothing about cars, let alone rotary engines. 250 HP is phenominal for a naturally aspirated 2-Rotor engine. The old RX-7 had 255 HP and it was twin turbo. How's THAT for a rice burner? Adding turbo to a rotary engine is sketchy and generally unreliable for many reasons, thats why Mazda chose to improve upon the N/A rotary engine. Price has nothing to do with whether the car is "great" or not. And WTF was that post about "Granny shifting and not double-clutching"? I doubt you even know what double-clutching is. Lay off The Fast and the Furious and learn how an engine works then come back when you know what you are talking about.

Hey dude, get your facts straight. The performance of the new 350Z and RX-8 are pure estimations. No one has tested and timed them yet. As for the new Z, Nissan is just claiming that it will certainly do 0-60 UNDER 6 seconds. It will very well do it in low 5's when it comes out. The new one will have about 300hp, which is the same as the last 300ZXTT, but is also 300 lbs lighter with more torque and a much better stransmission (closer gear ratios and shorter gear shifts). The 350Z will at least match the 300ZX TT if not beat it.

The new RX-7 is going to be a real nice car. I might get the coupe when it comes out because I dont need 4 doors and back seats in a sports car. That should come out in 2004 which is around the time I hope to be looking for a new car anyways.

as for the supra, man those concept photo's look ugly. i think the supra looks lame without an aero kit. doesnt look that aggressive without a kit.

The last pictures of the "new supra" are totaly fake! The person that put the pictures up got them from a different website and he probably didn't read it. yea......i was going to say the last two pictures look like the ford concept because i have a model car of it.......:D........anyways......i agree with you that the new concepts are starting to look sort of weird, but that's because they're concepts.....im pretty sure some of our opinions will change......I'M NOT SAYING EVERYONE WILL.....it's just that, i used to think the new accord (before it came out) and the new civic (even WHEN it came out) looked like pieces of shit......but i like them now....even the rsx, it's starting to grow on me....the r35 is pretty ugly.....the rx-8 is sort of TOO futuristic.....350z is pretty nice in my opinion....but that's just my 2 cents........

double clutching does NOT help you in racing like "DOM" said.......double clutching is when you shift, you shift into neutral, depress the clutch, clutch again, then go into gear.......this method is only used for big trucks lately.....i guess we can't use F&F to rely on for facts.......for example......count how many times paul walker shifts in the beginning sequence........:D

you guys should explore AF........i learned the double clutching information from the honda/acura forum......i used to wonder what double clutching was too......

Isn't the new Supra's name like the 4000GT or some other set of #'s and GT?? Anyways no shit thats a GT90 its just a little obvious the GT90 has really its own 1 of a kind looks. Man I am 13 and new thats a GT90 on sight. Anybody that played Gran Turismo knows thats GT90 its friggin sad. Anyways I like the new 350Z, RX-8 (not as cool as RX-7), and the new Evo. 8 is like a 7 only a different front grille. But I agree as much as I like The Skyline GT-R over any car in the world the concept is ugly. At least the front is I am ok with the back.

in my opinion they should Re - Release the last Supra frame with a little bit better engine . I would think that would appeal to more people . just to perfect , a close to perfect design.

I was looking orward to toyota makin a new 1, but i thought that they once said that all future supra concepts would be scrapped. so i decided to call toyota customer servises and ask them, to get the real answer. Well, to much of ur dismay, there will not be a supra coming out any time in the forseable future. The woman told me that in 2000 a design was accepted amd then differant modifications to that design were looked at. After findin that the car would cost a lot, and thatthe design strayed 2 far from the prime era of the supra, the idea was canned in 2001. The lady also told me that the car was in its final preliminary viewing stage before it was scrapped. NO supra will be released accrding to a woman named tanya at the customer service phone #. call and find out!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :flipa: :flipa: :(

the end of 2003 is upon us the surpa is no where near to be seen, i dont think its gonna be out anytime soon because before they bring it out they will make a concept and most cars stay a concept for atleast one year...if not all cars :eek7:

a piece of advice to all the supra owners out there, new or used.... If you own a supra whether it is in the best condition of it's life, or it needs a whole new block... or a turbo, heed my words..... NEVER SELL THAT CAR! Fix it up! I checked the kbb site for price on a 93----- 18,000! that's like owning a porsche! We supra owners are like a rare breed.... an endangered species!

I know the head mechanic at Gwinnett Place Toyota in Atlanta.

He says he'll give me a discount on the new one when it does come out. They aren't sure how much it will be priced at. My guess would be 20,000 to 25,000.

I'll post it up when more information comes in.

First of all, Gasara i strongly disagree with you. The 350z i didnt like at first but after lookin at it i realized it was a nice lookin car. Also, you think that toyota will screw it up, i say you have no faith. If it werent for toyota being so ahead of thier time then the MKIV would of never happend. How many MKIII owners do you think that said that Totota was goin to screw up the Supra rep. and build a strange or ugly car. Toyota is notorius for being tight liped about thier cars, do you think that they are goin to not be with the continuation of the best car they ever made? Toyota isn't turning any of those pieces of shit into a production car (someone at Toyota is obviously smoking crack). In fact they aren't re-releasing the Supra anytime soon. Besides they obviously rushed to throw something together because they are so ugly. I think that even if they brought the 3rd gen body back it would be better than what they got and the people would accept it. I want it to come out more than anybody but if that's the best they can do than Toyota needs to just wait.

What was supposed to be ridiculous about tfatf is the crappy production in it, the cast + production knew nothing about cars because dom's line, double-clutchin and not granny shiftin when your supposed to is idiotic, double clutching and granny shifting are the same thing! btw I had no idea trucks use double clutching techniques. I do know "Double-clutching is the proper way to downshift at speed without placing excessive wear on the transmission's synchronizers. This allows you to select a much lower gear without the tell-tale lurch you normally get when the clutch is let out after downshifting." as you can read here... http://www.driversedge.com/dblcltch.htm now if your racing anywhere other than a straight line, double clutching is a great technique, because you want to downshift around the turns without wrecking your tranny.
