87 integra tranamission problems

hi, is it just mine or can anyone tell me if the 87 integra is prone to transmision problems i bought two used ones and the first started to slip, then the second one started to shudder and slip as well, what would be the price for a repair kit in u.s $$$

i take it they are auto's?? I used to have an 87 with a 5speed, so im not sure about the autos.
