Hi! This is my 1st post since I just joined!
I just would like to know if anyone out there knows if I should also change the distributor cap & rotor every time I change the spark plugs? I'm almost due for my 1st 30,000 mile spark plug change on my 2001 CR-V, but the Owner's Manual doesn't mention anything about changing the cap & rotor, just the plugs. I thank anyone and everyone for any thoughts on this.

I changed mine at 90k, but it looked like I should have done it at maybe 60k. When you do it make sure that you crank the engine over so you can reach the screw that holds the rotor on.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you very much for that info! Much appreciated! Yeah, I saw where that screw was, should be an easy job when it's ready for it in another 30,000 miles. It's just about to turn 30,000 miles soon, so I guess I'll be gearing up (no pun intended! :lol2: ) to change the tranny and differential fluids. I've been hearing a lot about people changing them at 30,000 instead of waiting until what the book says. And a little basic, inexpensive, early maintenance can't hurt, right? Thanks again, and I hope you're enjoying your "V" as much as I still am mine!
