What models are you talking about?

Nesryn
02-24-2004, 06:52 PM
Uhm... Both I guess...
VR4 vs TT
And SL vs normal RT

I think the tt is a little faster because of the vr4 extra options makes the car heavyer. The sl and rt i'm not sure, but i would think they would be equal.

Its almost exactly the same car, considering year and model. Just a few minute differences, so any difference in speed would barely be noticeable. I've raced a few Stealth TTs for fun, and it always came down to the better launch/driver.

he's right its completely a driver race, theyre the same speed

:iagree:

as others have pointed out though, there will be VERY VERY little difference.

The cars are virtually identicle. Even professional drivers wouldn't make the 30 pound weight difference matter.

Ok, then what about a 300z and a 3000?
TT vs VR4?
And the non turbo vs the SL?

youngvr4

the only 3kgt a 300zxtt can compete with is the 1st gen vr4's, thats a drivers race, but the newer vr4's will leave there doors on the ground.
as for the sl and the 300zx, not sure.

Teazrsnow

the sl's seem to hang on until the 300zx start to spool

Nesryn
02-25-2004, 11:15 PM
Isn't it like that... with every turbo car though?

Teazrsnow
02-25-2004, 11:30 PM
well its somewhat catchable at low boost not high

Nesryn
02-25-2004, 11:33 PM
What year is your SL?

Teazrsnow
02-25-2004, 11:36 PM
94 and im not stock

youngvr4
02-26-2004, 04:21 AM
a sl can't hang on to a 300zxtt at any point, now a n/a 300zx is diff but the turbo z is out of your league. not trnya down the sl i love all 3kgt's but i just tell it like it is.

Nesryn
02-26-2004, 07:53 AM
Ahh good old harsh reality... Lol
Uhm.. Teaz? What'd you put in yours?

Teazrsnow
02-26-2004, 12:30 PM
ok well i never said i was stock when i raced him. I have the trophy sittin in my room for 2nd place at the 3s national gathering of 03 and was only beat by a twin turbo front wheel drive that runs 11's but by no other fwd's and there were other supercharged and turbo'd fwd's there that i competed against if i can find the slip from then ill post it

Nesryn
02-26-2004, 12:32 PM

Teazrsnow

Nesryn

I think it is crazy how much money these people put into it. I wish i had all the extra cash to do it i really do. I am going to stick with my car and replace everything that breaks and eventually supercharge it. But other than that you guys really know what you are talking about. I mean i wish i knew what half this meant "home made cold air, fidanza flywheel stage 3 6 puck sprung hub clutch, light cam work, intake pipe kit, exhaust, royal purple (is quite a difference),lighter wheels, sticky tires, moved red line higher if i think of anything more ill let you know" hehe. I do have a cold air intake and sticky tires but other than that i have no idea where to start. I am getting my exhast worked on soon.

i can get you parts if you want most likely less expensive than you can find

3000GT4ME
02-26-2004, 06:46 PM
How much of a discount do you get? or is it different for each part? What do you reccomend that i do next for say like 200 or so dollars that can help me most?

Teazrsnow
02-26-2004, 06:49 PM
the only thing you really could do is get a cannister for an exhaust

Nesryn
02-26-2004, 09:26 PM
Teazr, what body kit do you have on your 3000?

Teazrsnow
02-26-2004, 11:52 PM
the true extremeor this is a commonly copied bumper but i got it from japan for 1100 and you could take a bat to it and not hurt it

Nesryn
02-27-2004, 07:13 AM
Lol I don't think I'd be able to gather up enough will to take a bat to my car...

Teazrsnow
02-27-2004, 05:40 PM

Nesryn
02-27-2004, 05:43 PM
