Keyless entry systems question

Was the keyless entry system standard on LT trim in 1995, or was it another special option package above the standard LT trim?
Also does anyone know how much it would cost to install one of these keyless entry systems on my suburban, or would it just be better to go and buy an aftermarket alarm system?

My guess is that it was still an option even on the LT's. We had a Tahoe ed. S-10 Blazer that didn't have OEM keyless. Do a search on it here, there's a way to read the codes to see if it had it. Aftermarket ones are pretty simple. I like DIrected Electronics.

A quick and easy way would be to put the system into keyless program mode. There are several posts out there detailing how to program keyless entries so I won't attempt to repeat it here and get it wrong. It is pretty simple to do though. All you need is a paper clip and the right pin numbers to jumper on the jack under the steering wheel for the diagnostics module.

Yeah that might be but only if it came with keyless from the factory. I guess he could try the program sequence first to see if it will work. I guess that if it responds then it has OEM keyless module.
