Hey, I've been looking at prelude's as a first car for a while now but I've not seen any distinct things that let you know whether its an S or an SI. Is there anything that will let you kno?

S=no spoiler
Si=spoiler (usually)

S=hubcaps (yuck)
Si=alloys

S=f22a (2.2 non vtec) 130 hp
Si=h23a (2.3 non vtec) 160 hp

this is assuming you are looking at 4th gen (92-96)

Carfax. Main thing is the engine, it's a dead giveaway.

What if he is talking about third gen's.

Well if you are talking about 3rd gen ludes, then the
black bumper covers= S
Carborated engine= S
Fuel Injection= Si
Colour keyed bumpers= Si

mainly the engine just the difference between carbed and fuel injected. And a few trim differences. I like they said.

It's a she and I was talking about 4th gen. I jsut mean when you first look at the car, how can you tell and by how can you tell I'm talking about trim n such, if there was anything only offered in the SI.

Put one of each side and hide the pedals. If you see taillights, yours driving the "S".

Jermonsta, see your post now. I have a 92 "S" and a 93 "SI" and the "SI" has alloys. Don't know much about the VTEC's - love too
