1994 caravan 3.3L trany problems...again

I recently replaced the transmission on our 1994 Caravan with the 3.3L V-6. We were able to get recently rebuilt transmission from a 1998 model. The original transmission blew a parking gear through the case.

The newer one has a problem where if it is under about 20 degrees, it will not go into reverse. Drives forward no problem. The person that installed the transmission says that is a seal inside the transmission that when cold will not allow pressure to build up when shifting into reverse.

Anyone ever hear of this? Would it not sound more like the there is a lock out that is not disengaging?

Help Please.

Re-built is a fffffuzzzzzy word!!!! ever herd of an aerosol over-haul?????

if it was RE-BUILT the rev clutch should have had the backing plate re-placed and up-dated "D" rings installed,,,,,Now that you have a delay in rev,,,,I would guess that this was not done, or it was done wrong!!!

We got the news yesterday that the reason the transmission was slipping was they failed to put in some additive that the chrysler transmisisons require. They flushed the system and things are fine now.
