Hey whats up. I was just think n about doing a "saftey" mod to my 97 integra. As we all know u, in order to start up our cars we need to step down on the clutch pedal in order to close a switch; which will then enable the starter to crank. Well i wanted to make a "saftey switch" to deter car thieves from try n to steal ma car. I was think n about cutting the wires for the clutch switch and adding another switch in bewteen the wires that i have just cut. i will mount this switch somewhere out of view, like somewhere under the dash. So in order to start up the car, u will have to turn on this switch AND step down on the clutch to start it up.
My problem is i dont know if this is possible... it sounds logical.
when i try to find the wire for the clutch pedal switch i can never find it? Do any of you guys have any clue to where this wire is??? If u have a pic it would be great. thanx

To answer ur question, yes it is entirely possible. I have a button (kill switch) that you have to push before you turn the car over. Ex. Turn the key half a click, wait for engine light to go out, push in and hold button while u turn the key to start it up. Is this what your talking about? Mine came with it factory so you could get it from a dealer, altho it will be more expensive. I'm not sure where you could get this, but yes it is possible. Hope i helped.
