Sup fellas, I'm back again. Sorry haven't posted, I've been studying my ass off for school. Well I just learned I'm gettin a nice little amount of cash back in tax returns and I've been guarenteed a job for the summer making close to 500$ a week. So it's about time to seriously look into motor-swapping. I've been tossing around a few different ideas including b18c1, b18b, and b20 w/ b16 head. Just curious if anyone has had any experience with the latter. It sounds like a great idea, especially after reading the Civic Swapping guide thread. But I still have a few questions if anyone can help me out...

1. I have an AUTO D16.. What would be the best tranny to swap into using this motor. So far, I've been told the b16 is the best bet.

2. How much HP does the B16 add considering VTEC?

3. How much does the b20 block weigh?

Any help is appreciated!

1. unless you want to do a whole hell of alot of converting and wiring, get yourself an auto b16 tranny.

2. a stock b16a has 160hp and around 112ft/lbs.

3. a b20 block(bare) weighs around 100lbs.

hope this helps.

Is there such thing as an OBDII B16 auto tranny? If so, I've never heard of it. The car is getting switched to a stick no matter what. I just need to find out the best one for this motor-swap.
