Want a better sound

The Right Formula

So i'm in the grand am the other day and another one of the same model as mine passes me and I can hear his exhaust. Not too rough, but definately not as docile as my stock after 108k miles. My 93 sounded viscious for a completely stock engine, and I would like to know a good muffler to get a bit richer sound. What do you folks use?

Thanks!

That would help, huh? 3.1 and I live in NJ. I don't want anything crazy, just a nice little mini-growl maybe.

Personal I like Magnaflow and Borla.

yea go with one of those, they arent going to give you any power gains, maybe 1hp or so, but youll get that rumble your looking for.

Excellent. Power isn't what I'm looking for (that's the Formula's job), just a deeper sound. I'll check out the two of those for their muffler specs. Thanks!

try a resonator tip that has a wider chaber to enhance the sound , there kinda xtra throughty too and cost less than a muffler , or if you want a glass pack muffler that doesnt have any louver baffles in it will drastically change and sounds deep and mean.
