2000 Z71 5.3 Cleaned throttle body, now pinging

My gas pedal was sticking so I used some fuel injector cleaner to clean out my throttle body. I have done this before, without any problems.
However, this time, the result was different. Every since I cleaned the throttle body out, my truck has been running horribly. When I first start it, it idles very rough, both the rpm's and the voltage will jump up and down. However, most of the spiking is occuring on the RPM tach. It takes about 2 minutes for the truck to warm up, and then it will idle fine. Upon acceleration it knocks and pings really bad. No real noticable loss of hp, but the sound is driving me crazy.
I am assuming that some of the carbon deposits from the intake and throttle body broke loose and are the culprit. I'm just looking for a little direction before I start replacing things. My guess is that I might have fouled my plugs, but I'm an accountant and not a mechanic. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. JP

3 days. It's gradually gotten a little better, but no major improvement.

You didnt accidentally unhook or unplug anything did you?

There really isn't anything to unhook other than the intake. I will double check, but I would think that if something was disconnected, the idling problem would not go away after the vehicle warms up.

Must have been bad gas. I ran out all the old gas and put in 93 octane and the idle is fine and the pinging is gone. My guess is that when I cleaned the throttle body some of the deposits made it into the fuel line.
Just glad the problem is gone!! And at no cost!!
