Hey ya'll......Gotta a few questions. Back in the states, ive got an accident victim in the form of a 95-98 Ford F-150 three door with av-6 that has a bad knock in it. Its totally savable, and not totally in any regard, the previous owner owned the garage my dad rented for his body business. the truck has a manual 5-speed and is pretty much a base model with nothing but the need of a front end. Since i got the truck for a gereat deal...I want to do something with some of my extra vehicle money. Im looking to put a V-8 of some sort in the truck, anything from a 5.4 up would be nice. The general question i have is, whats going to fit (not worried about wiring, im more of a carb or a new modern efi system type anyway) and if i cant use the 5 speed in the truck, what can use that will fit, and keep the truck driving nice on the road. I do still plan on using the truck for truck stuff, i just want it to go fast while hauling my stuff. Any ideas or suggestions...and especielly pictures welcome.

Well, first off unless it's a '97 or newer it cannot have a "V-6", the '96 and older trucks had an "I-6" which is about the best damned engine ever built.
If it is a '97 up truck, you could install a 5.4L easy enough all the parts are readily availabe and engines are under $1000. You'd need a completely new wire harness and engine computer along with the engine harness and intake system for that engine.
Plan on spending over $5000 for all the odds and ends before you are done.

Okay....then its a 97 or newer.....And i dont what if i dont want to put fuel injection, or at least not another stock ford system, say an aftermarket sysytem for a bigger block crate motor. Not looking for prices, just for what is needed, Money isnt an issue unless your buying something, im planning.
