I've heard that it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get a plate on something in European countries. That was the first time I have seen #11R wearing a plate though.

The other GTR in those photos does appear to be the same one that was in that showroom. Was it truly listed for sale, or was it just on display. I don't recall if there was an advertisement for that car.

Anyway, the same place was selling this gentlemen's green F1 road car (believed to be #051) so if there was no ad then it could have just been on display.

Hello,

humm, I disagree Peloton25.
Maybe in Germany, UK, Swiss or Monaco it is simple but in France or Sweden, it is difficult.

Example : A friend bought a Lancer Evolution 6 Tommi Makkinen which came from Sweden. So, Mitsubishi Sweden approved it one by one !
In France, EVOs are approved by insulated title and some are registered like Carisma gasoil !!!!

Well thanks for the insight Phillipe, but I think it's safe to assume that the owner of these cars has a lot more money than your friend with the TME EVO. ;) It's not like the GTRs are really all that far from a standard road car. The #073 car wore Swedish plates and while it did have a much nicer interior, the rest of the car was not much different than this one.

the car was for sale, there was an ad for it. maybe the cars are on consignment and he's keeping the gtr?

That rear shot of the Longtail GTR rocks! I have never seen it from that angle and the car's fenders and mid-section are menacing. I wasn't a big fan of the Longtail appearance but this is an exception. It looks like a different car from this shot.

#23 is still for sale at ks autohandel in germany - the pictures in the ad were updated the 14th this month. getting an sva in the uk or a tüv approval in germany isn't really that difficult, so using a gtr on the road in these countries isn't too much of a challenge, but the rest of europe is quite different.

Even if the F1 owner have loads of money he will have an hard time bribing the authorities in Sweden. Bribes does not work good here, more the opposite.

That McLaren F1 is the same that the one featured here:

Wow, what a great car. One of my favorites. If you like the F-1 you should also check out the Pagani Zonda. Not as nice as the F-1 but a stunning car none the less.
