ey guys,
My girlfriend's sister has a Pulsar. I'm not sure what year or anything, but it looks like a carbed engine. A few days ago she started having problems. When driving, it won't go above 2,000 rpms. If you hold the throttle down, it cuts out, and won't go again until a few seconds later.
Her dad replaced the fuel filter and they were thinking it'd be a bad pump, but you can sit with the car in neutral and rev it all you want, and it doesn't cut out. So, I'm inclined to think it's a vacuum/electrical problem.
Okay, it's an '88 Pulsar. Automatic tranny. Like I said, it looked like a carbed 4 cyl.
thanks. . .shawn

Have you checked or replaced the throttle position sensor?
