I have a N/A 2000 Grand Am V6. Ive done alot of work on the motor using the original parts and modify them. Example : Ported and polished throttle body , ported upper and lower intake manifolds , port polished exhaust manifold. I put some hi flow headers on and replaced the stock exhaust with bigger pipe and glass packs. The original horse power was 170 , now 200hp. Took me a long time and lots of hard work I also got to know the engine pretty good too. I dont want to race rich people who plug on all the best stuff and think there so great. I wanna race resourcefull modders only. Any one share the same feelings?

do what you wanna do man, on the streets you dont know who just puts on all the best stuff and who uses crappy stuff and what have you, just race to have fun if you get beat mod your car more, if you dont and you are happy with it thats fine, but your not always going to win and your not always going to race cars that arent modded with the best parts available, do what keeps you happy! and no altezzas or big wings!

i think its up to the owner of the car to decide what to and what not to do to their car. if theyve got the means then by all means. but i think its much more satisfying to try do things yourself. whenever me or my dad try and fix up something the car breaker is the first stop. you get things for a fraction of the price. in the end its the fastest car that wins. doesnt really matter how much money theyve dropped under the hood (well it does but yeah. you know what i mean :P)
