How do I remove my e-brake from 98 cavy? please help!

hello, im new here and hope to become very active on this site...

My first question is how do I remove my e-brake from my 98 cavalier? I dont seem to be finding a clip or anything holding it on, any help would be greatly appreciated!, thanks

anyone having the same problem, or know the answer to this? thanks

i'm having the same exact problem and the only thing i know to do is cut the handle off i've tried allen keys, prying it off everything and it doesn't want to come off i have a 2002 cavi i'm not sure if it is the same as yours does yours have a tiny hole cause thats where i thought a allen key would go. well good luck and if you figure it out please tell me. and oh don't try to call the chevy dealer cause they will say the same thing as they always say it doesn't come off. you can try cutting it off thats probably what i'm going to do. sorry i couldn't help you, stacy
