ECLIPSE AIR BAG REPLACEMENT help me please

I have Mitsu Eclipse 97, after front collision airbags deployed. Does anyone know how to change them? i couldn't find the instructions how...as far as i know i need to buy AIrbags and the control module? The control madule part number has to match.

I think you can get someone to install it for about 100-200. But the cost of the airbags is what is going to kill you.

Simple plan... driver side replace with racing steering wheel.
Passenger side put a psx2 in there.:biggrin:

Your airbags have to be bar code scanned to your vehicle, and certified to work, or you could sue the airbag manufacturers if someone died due to their product. You're not supposed to be able to replace them yourself,

yeah just get a racing steering wheel for driver side and then put a color tv on the passanger side... i promise you will come out much much cheaper!!!!!

I think legaly you cant replace your own... not sure though, but screw that you can find someone too. Doing it yourself IS HARD. My friend crashed his mustang <---(that explains it all) and he had it replace by an uncertifed mecananic (a guy working out of his garage) and he got it done pretty cheap.

Thank you, but the thing is that i have to go through the salvage inspection with this car so race wheel doesn't work ;). And I don't think that it is hard to replace them, you just have to know step by step instructions, and it is legal to change them by yourself, because they don;t ask who did the repairs, they just look at your paperwork to make sure that is not stolen.
