dont start in park

if i leave the car in park it dont start.if it is left in netural it starts. in park just cranks. 1996 grand am 4 cyl

I have the same problem for my 95 GA 4 cyl. Two friends told me that it could be the Neutral Safety Switch. I'll try fixing it. If it works i'll let you know.
