I have a hum dinger here for you. I noticed this last wednesday on my way to work the cruise control wouldn't work and neither would my right flasher(left flasher works fine). On my way home I trouble shot it and found the following:
With only running lights
1. rt. flasher would work(main front bulbs not sidebulb / left side bulb flashes weakly).
2. Brake would make the clock light flash (only if light adjuster by headlight switch was in the dim mode).
3. rt. flasher will also make clock flash (same scenario)
4. left flasher still works like a champ
5. cruise control works
6. center LED on without lights
With headlights on
1. no cruise control
2. no rt. flasher (let me quantify, flashes once kind of the two front bulbs light once and hold)
Once home had my wife turn the flasher on and hit the brakes. The right flasher will brighten both brake lights and both flashers albeit weakly. The Brakes will also brighten the front flashers weakly.
Solutions attempted
Took it to shop on Friday (not sure they could pour water out of boot with directions on bottom) they replaced a switch not sure if its the headlight switch or not, (no brake light relay on '97). Tried right rear taillight circuit board to no avail. Am at wits end could use some help on this one.
Side note: None of the doors will not active Dome lights not sure if related, manual works.

Ok a little up date.
Took it to a shell station by my work they didn't have a clue and ended up paying 200 buck for their education.
Took it to the dealership who told me it was probably both of the rear tail light or brake panel (box says tail light connector plate.) They needed 400 to fix. I told them to write up the problem and that I would take care of it.
