How can you tell? I bought a 91 eclipse turbo, and I dunno how to tell if the BOV is crushed or not... and if its not, should i leave it alone?

If its crushed the nipple for the vac line, while still coming out of the BOV at a proper 90 degree angle, will rest on the rim of the canister. That is in fact the getto way to crush it. The correct way is to use a mighty vac or similar and crush it just enouhg so it takes 18-19" of vacuum to just crack the valve off the seat.
No reason not to crush it. Usually helps. I've never seen it hurt anything. Might as well do it if you are running more than say 15 psi or so.

Nope. Not until you crush it mroe than I recomended above at least. At 20" it starts to get fluttery.
