Hey guys I'm looking for a semi cheap sound system that will still get me some noise. I'm looking to spend under 700 in total so as you can see, I am farely limited. I saw this one on ebay, and was wondering what you guys thought of it. It has a sub, amp, and speakers so it doesn't seem bad, but I don't reconize the brand. Also if you have any other systems for a good price i'm interested. Any info is help.

GScivic7 hit it on the head. if you want inexpensive stuff that still retains some quality look at pioneer. www.ikesound.com has some kickass prices on pioneer stuff.

yeah I was kinda guessing it wasn't gonna be nice. Anybody else have any ideas. If you could include the price when you post about the system it would be helpfull. Thx

I will tell you right now that you won't be able to find a complete system like that for 399. Actually, you won't even be able to find a decent headunit and some coaxial speakers for that price.

Here's an example...I got an Alpine 9813 for 275.00
I got all my speakers (2 6x9s, 2 6.5" Component) for 200.00 (and I got a very special deal on these) The speakers are Polk Ex series. So I got both products new and cheaper than you'd normally get them and I was looking at 475.00

Pyle is shit, but if you have a 2 year warranty, if you don't really want to pay more than what that kit sells for, why not try it out? I agree that it's shit, but it's gonna be fairly loud for the price. You won't have much SQ, but it'll bang. Those components are more or less like the Boss RIP15's I have in my winter car, and they kick ass for the price! I rather my Boss speakers to Pioneer speakers in the same price range. But I suggest you invest in something else, but worst off, the Pyle kit mustn't be that bad except for the head unit: you'll never have thought CD's could skip so often!!!!!!

Personally I would really encourage you to buy a Sony kit before buying a Pyle kit! Yes Sony has good products in the price range, and I'm proud to say that since 2003 I have had NOT ONE RETURN on a Sony mobile product! Sony Canada has declared a defective rate of 0.5% since March 2003. That means 1 out of 200 products has had a problem. Before 2003 it was more like 1 on 20 was broken! So yes I encourage you to purchase Xplod products, for the price I think you won't regret it. But please go to a store, you'll have an in-store warranty. It's worth a few more bucks!

Here's the retail price in Canadian dollars:
Monobloc Class D Amp: 299
2 x 12" P5 subs: 119+119
3 way 6.5" speakers: 99+99

So that's $735 Canadian (before tax) for a mean system! That's like about $500 USD. All you need is a wiring kit and a sub box.

IMO sony is just as good as PYLE, they are both shit. If you want some decent speakers without breaking the bank, check out the Type S speakers here http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=15&ManufacturerID=611

i have 2 12" Infinity Reference subs with a 700 watt sony amp, one of the older ones, in a bandpass box and it sounds really great. the infinitys can take whatever you throw at them, plus they're relatively cheap.

I'm saving up for college, so I just want some relatively good speakers that don't necessarily have to make the car next to you bounce like it's got hydraulics. I'm also in the market for a new stereo if I can't re-activate the stereo I have now. What's a good stereo/speaker combination as far as brands and is there a good combination deal (you buy the stereo and get the speakers discounted and/or free).
