I have a 91 civic dx standard and traded my old civic for a complete b18a1 civic swap or so i thought. The swap came with the pr4 ecu and the mpfi wiring done to the engine harness and the b18a1 of course the engine is already in but it doesnt plug up to the harness coming thru the firewall while the ecu plugs right in. Im lost and i cant seem to find anyone that knows about this swap do i just need a 91 civic si wiring harness to plug up to the ecu and go thru the firewall? Thanx for any responses im stumped

It should be able to plug up? You said you got it converted to mpfi. I dont know man just check with www.honda-tech.com I'm sure someone there can help you. Either way it should plug up with no problem.

Do you have the stuff inside the car wired for it, cause you will have to redu the ECU plugs, and i am not really sure whats up with the plugs, you might have to switch it out somehow cause the wiring harness is prolly made for an si model

The ecu plug isnt done but i know how to do the rest of it pertaining to the dpfi to mpfi the only thing thats holding me back is the 2 plugs on the right sode of the engine bay will not plug into each other and the wire color is different and the pin count is way different
HERe is the url tp pics of the plugs

i didnt look at the pics....but if the plugs are grey then they are OBD1.....if they are clear then they should plug in as they are OBD0.....the DX Plugs/SI Plugs and Teg plugs are all the same.

you didnt do the MPFI swap, you just tried to use the b18 wiring harness. you cant do this. you have to use your existing engine harness and add the necessary wires for multi port. Its as simple as that.

or what you need to do is make, or better yet, if you are not good with wiring crap, you should be able to find an already modified dx or std. harness, and it should work fine, cause i have to do the same thing
