From what I read on the net, you will need the complete engine, the ecu, B-Series Engine Swap Mount Kit. You will also have to trim the rails under the hood or lower the engine to have enough clearence to close hood or change the hood for an aftermarket one.
I wanted to do this swap, but after some research on the net, I changed my mind. I don't have 7000$ to waste on my car. I will probably swap a ZC for 1500$ instead.
You should do a lot of research on the net before starting any swap.

3000$ for the complete engine
+1000$ for replacing parts and mounts
+1000$ for the installation
+2000$ for unexpected cost
=7000$
I always boost the costs so I'm never surprised when the bill arrive.

2000 for unexpected costs seems particularly high......

you can get good mounts for no more than 400.
installation varies
2000 is way to much for "unexpected cost"
i got my whole ls swap for around than 2200.
the gsr swap is around 4500 to 5000 where i live, thats installed and out the door. whats funny is the b20 vtec swap is cheaper. :icon16:

Spend @ $4500 on a type r engine, no replacing parts or unexpected costs, get the mounts and linkage and install it yourself. Total cost around 5 grand. Plus it has a hell of a lot more power than a gsr.

Eh i wouldn't say that. The reason for that is because type r have higher compression, better cams, better manifold. Throw all ITR parts in the gsr would be almost identical powers. IF you want to swap in a 1.8 then gsr is the way to go cause its cheaper and just as good. Now back to the topic. You gonna have to change your drivers side bracket on the gsr and get one from the b16.
