my Aoshima accord estate came with the opening hatch as do some of their VIP cars
as for other cars opening the panel is easy enough using flyonthewalls how to (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61545) . as for hinges depends on weather they need 2 be functioning ?

The hardest part will be cutting the hatch, as the edges are very thin. Very careful cutting and many, many light passes with a knife blade is the only way to go. If you ever look at an Integra hatch, you will notice that there is a very thick frame along the edges of the hatch, around the glass. If you place the hinges (like the ones bigfrit is using) on the very edges of the opening, you can easily hide the hinges in the hatch's frame. That would be a great project! Make sure you make a progress thread for it!
