Crazy in the Snow

Hey what's up to all you crazy people out there who don't take anybody's advice and do crazy stupid shit like me!

Well I wanted to share a story that happend to me today well it snowed today in GA. so i decided to drive around and see what was up well i was doing around 95 MPH on a back rode sumwhere outside of atlanta just flyin' around in my Civic chillin' and i went to hit this turn at around 60 MPH and hit a patch of ice and did a sideways slide for about 100 ft. My car and I are ok but just wanted to let everyone know watch out for weather conditions while your out there.

My friend and I had a similar experience. We were goin' about 60mph on a very high bridge,and we hit a patch of ice. We did about 4 complete spins and nailed the guard rail at like 15mph, and ended up in the opposite direction facing traffic. Thanks to his '98 Eclipse's fat bumper it took most of the damage, and only ended up with the paint being scraped! Talk about lucky for us and the car.

I was going as fast as i could (ice covered parking lot) and pulling the e-brake, got to love this Georgia weather!

3rd gen Si engine (b16a2) with intake, headers, exhaust, etc......
AND a vortech supercharger........imagine that.......a 3rd gen Si w/ vortech and a header and exhaust had 272 @ wheels!......imagine that in a sub 2000lb car.........faster than your car:flipa: :finger: :devil:

You've got me all wrong, i don't work on my car to make it better than someone elses car. I work on my car to work on my car, I enjoy wrenching on my 'rex and since I don't have a very deep wallet modifications come slowly but surely. I'm planning on doing everything I can to the stock engine, mostly because allmost all mods to a D16A6 can be transfered to a ZC if I ever lust for more power. I drive my car to work every day, I drive it home to DC, I drive it to visit family, it's not a racecar, it's my car. When i'm older and making a six figure paycheck i'll still have my CRX (or a CRX) and will drive something else to work so I can strip my 'rex down for track duty only. If you wanna supercharge an HF with a B16A2 feel free, i'll even race you if you want to prove something, my car's fast enough to get me in trouble and untill the suspension and braking is up to racecar standards i'm not upping the power. I didn't see you mention anything about your plans for suspension and braking upgrades... braking is a commonly overlooked aspect of building a fast street car. You seem to have money so I recommend Baer or Wilwood big brake upgrades, i'm on a budget and purchased Powerslot rotors, Metal Master pads, and goodridge brake lines. My Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable shocks just arrived :) Any ways... I hope you get my point, i'm not competing, i'm just having fun with my car.

i was sitting at a stop light wednesday morning on this bridge that was covered in ice/slush just sitting there spinning my wheels. people would look over and my front wheels were just spinning really fast but the car was going no where. i hit about 5,500 rpm spinning em.

dude winter sucks in Minnesota, really really bad. It hasen't snowed in a while but once it does people some how forget to drive. It got "warm" the other day (30) so I got my car washed and later that night it was all dirty again not to mention my doors kept freezing shut. They put so much salt on the roads it turns the streets white and having to constantly watch for ice is geting annoying.

Now that I'm done complaning I'll start w/the good- On my 15min breaks at work I can't stand the break room so I let my car warm up then drive around all the buisnesses parking lots in the area, e-braking all the turns!

i used to drive like a jackass in the snow...now im cautious..too much shit can go wrong

no way........i can't even afford to buy a used crx w/o an engine.......just thought you might like the idea......you know......just to ponder.......300 hp @ wheels in a light car would be nice to have.........i don't have the money.......just thought it would be cool.........
