I have a 2004 F150. When I was out hunting last week, the damn dinger kept going off when I would park to get out of the truck. It is hell when you are trying to be quite and set up for a hunt. How can I diable this thing without affecting any othe functions?

I think you might be stuck on this one. I know a state game warden that had the same problem on a state issued Ford. Imagine trying to sneak up on a hunter while the dinger is going off. They told him that the dinger was hooked up to a computer board and you would have to remove the baord to stop the dinger and that would "affect other functions" as you say, so unless things have changed for 2004, it's a fact of life that is not good in the woods. :banghead:

while you're hunting just pull the fuse... on mine (yours is a diff gen, but maybe will work with yours) the dome lamp and the lamp for the passenger's cosmetic mirror turns off as well, but I don't think you will miss those while hunting.. if you do.. then buy a flashlight.
